Get to Know Us a Little Better
Favorite Flower: “Every time we get a new one in the store it becomes my favorite ;)”
Elaine Savarese was born and raised in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and came to Charleston by way of The College of Charleston Class of ‘11. She has owned Frampton’s Flowers since 2013 and after her first year of weddings started the Fresh By Frampton’s division in the Fall of 2014. Her favorite part of her job is taking her clients Pinterest boards, magazine clippings, and color swatches and turning them into actual, tangible arrangements. The best compliment she’s ever received was that a bride’s wedding flowers looked “better than her inspiration photos.” Connecting with a bride and understanding her vision is not only exciting for her, but it’s why she does what she does. When Elaine’s not at work you can find her taking care of her dog, cooking for friends, or playing bocce- the only sport she’s ever been good at and the only sport she’s nationally ranked in.
Favorite Flower: “Any flower at the peak of its season but if I had to pick, Queen Anne’s Lace, sweet peas, or peonies”
Althea Fann is originally from Nantucket, Massachusetts and later moved to Charleston, South Carolina. She attended the College of Charleston and graduated in 2011. She has been the lead designer at Frampton’s Flowers for 3 years and is the wedding flower guru. Throughout the wedding design process her favorite thing is bring to life a list of flowers on a sheet of paper. One of her greatest skills is combining color palettes and finding unique varieties of flowers and greenery to add a fresh spin on a commonly seen look. Althea’s a busy girl tending to her husband John, her two dogs, and completing her MFA in writing in July from the University of Vermont.
Favorite Flower: “The flowers every girl loves: Peonies, garden roses, anemones, and waxflower… but how could you not?”
Erica Peper is originally from Bloomfield, Iowa and moved to Charleston after attending college at the University of Northern Iowa. She has been working with Frampton’s Flowers since the Fall of 2015. Her favorite part of working in the wedding industry is, in Erica’s words, “That final hug and ‘Thank you for everything!’ at the end of the night. It makes it all worth it!” Erica also is our preferred Day of Wedding Coordinator, manning the ship over at Peper Events http://www.peperevents.com/. (Give her a shout if you’re in need of her assistance, we offer a discount on labor when you do!). When she’s not at work you can find her enjoying time with her husband, hitting the yoga studio, reading, planning a trip, or just snuggling up with her kitty cat Sullivan.
Our resident “shop dog” and professional canine model. When he’s not flirting with the dachshund down the street you can find him assisting in wedding production, reviewing color swatches, and making the tough calls about whether or not peonies or garden roses will suit the overall look of the wedding at hand. It’s not always fun to be the boss, but someone’s gotta do it.
